SUCCESS STORY
Ffion.
I got the life back, and the business with it
THE STARTING POINT
Where Ffion started.
Ffion came to us at what she calls crisis point. She had spent around ten years building her business and had reached the point where almost everything was going into the company and very little was going into herself.
She was exhausted, miserable and irritable. Her resting heart rate was extremely high, she was sleeping badly, and she was leaning on caffeine for energy and putting off exercise. She had become negative, snappy and withdrawn, and she had lost belief in herself. She knew it was not who she normally was.
She was genuinely worried that if something did not change she could lose the business she had spent a decade building.
WHAT WE DID
What we actually did.
The assessment let us see exactly where Ffion was struggling rather than trying to change everything at once.
We worked through Energised Leadership, rebuilding her physical, mental and emotional capacity. We mapped what drained her energy and what restored it, and found that connection and adventure mattered enormously to her and had almost completely disappeared from her life.
So we put them back, alongside practical ways of calming her nervous system: a break from alcohol, less time on her phone, daily walks, breathing exercises, and reconnecting with the people she enjoyed. None of it was another list of things to achieve.
Five of the twelve, chosen from what her assessment said rather than worked through in order.
- Understanding your burnout
- Building bulletproof boundaries
- Designing your future life
- The art of how doing less can give you more
- Breath of fresh air
“Loz and Baz just made you feel like they were there with you. You were not doing anything on your own.”
WHAT CHANGED
And this is where she is now.
Her resting heart rate came down from around ninety-five beats a minute to around sixty-five. Her blood-test markers improved, her hair began growing back, and her skin settled.
But the change she leads with is that she is happy again. She has rediscovered hiking, she sees friends, she travels, she takes holidays, and she finally got the goat she had wanted for years, Kevin.
And rather than the business suffering because she was doing less, the opposite happened. It is more manageable, client numbers are up, she has recruited support, and she says the monthly profit is sometimes around fifty per cent higher.
- Resting heart rate, around 95 bpm down to around 65
- Hiking, travelling and taking holidays again
- Recruited support into the business
- Finally found herself again
“Most importantly, I am happy, and that is measurable. I can feel it every day. I can see it every day. People tell me every day how different I am, how much happier I am.”
